 Project 5: This is a culminating, collaborative class project about how each person matters

As a class, together we will build and present a project that shows that each individual is important.

1. Watch the MindSpring animation of the speech by Bob Chapman, CEO of Barry-Wehmiller, on culture and leadership.

2. Define a problem and its resolution

Effect: symptoms of the problem and its resolution

• Absence of empathetic listening; presence of empathetic listening
• Absence of genuine caring; presence of genuine caring
• Absence of vision for the future; presence of vision for the future
• Absence of recognizing and celebrating people; presence of recognizing and celebrating people

Responses:

• make the problem worse
• keep the problem the same
• make the problem better (resolve it)

Resolution:

• The problem no longer exists

AND

• Life after the the problem is better than life before or during the problem
