Project 5: This is a culminating, collaborative class project about how each person matters

As a class, together we will build and present a project that shows that each individual is important.

Today, Monday, September 11, 2023, we continue!

• By yourself, reflect on the questions below.
• Write your responses in an email to Miss Lee at misslee.imh@gmail.com.
• In the email include:

1. If you are the Listener in the conversation, what causes you to lack empathy for the Talker?
2. If you are the Talker in the conversation, how will you respond to the lack of empathy from the Listener?
3. What leads up to your conversation, and what causes the conversation to begin when it does?
4. What do you want the conversation to accomplish and why?
5. What will happen if the conversation does not accomplish what you hope?

Here is an example of how to answer questions #3, 4, and 5:

• [Re: #3] This is a conversational scene between the masked "man in black" and Vizzini, two characters from The Princess Bride. What leads to the conversation? The princess is kidnapped by 3 outlaws, one of whom is Vizzini, a man from Sicily. The "man in black" pursues the princess and 3 outlaws on the Cliffs of Insanity. He defeats one kidnapper in a fencing duel, chokes another, and, in this scene, attempts to trick Vizzini into drinking a deadly poison.
• [Re: #4] The "man in black" hopes the conversation will enable him to rescue the princess, because he loves her
• [Re: #5] If he cannot rescue the princess, she - and he - both will die.
