 English for Life is a community. Every member of the community matters.

1. Attend all classes
2. Maintain a respectful environment where everyone feels safe to be themselves
3. Listen actively and with undivided attention to the instructor and to each other
4. Only one person speaks at a time, unless multiple speakers are appropriate for an activity
5. Speak only English
6. Be supportive and encouraging to each other without trying to 'fix' someone or their circumstances
7. Collaborate responsibly: contribute fairly, follow through on your commitments, communicate promptly and reciprocally
8. Hold yourself accountable for your choices, your behavior, your words, and your impact on others
9. Read all instructions thoroughly and complete assignments as instructed
10. Ask questions
